Yesterday went to Read Malaysia 2009 at the Mines

to me it is a book fair which would not attract me to go
reason:

1) Location - The Mines is too far away from my house
2) Transportation - The Mines is not very convenient to go if you are without car
3) Participating Distribution - Not much big book distributor except CITE and MPH
4) Type of Books - Most of the books are not the latest books available in the market. It seems like more of an warehouse sales to me as compared to a proper bookfair which would really attract me to go.

Despite all the bad points mentioned below, there are also good points
1) Parking - the parking fees at the Mines is cheap... and they are using the parking sensor system which can assist you to find a parking space easily.
2) Food - there are food stalls nearby the book fair which sells variety of foods if you are hungry after reading some books. there is even a stall which sell vegetarian food :P
3) Entrance Fee - yeah this book fair is FOC... nowadays.. there are nothing which is FOC... :)

so my star rating for this book fair is...
** (to improve further if really wanna have read malaysia 2009)

Last month my friend, Sandy, Owen, F1 and Postman came all the way from Taiwan to Malaysia.

Sandy went to Sabah first with some of my parents elder friends and Owen, F1 and Postman came straight from Taiwan to KL.

This is the first time F1 came to Malaysia and it should be a new experience for him since the Malaysian culture and Taiwan culture is a little bit similar tough most of the time different.


They arrive at KLIA around 2.30pm and they went straight to my friend’s house since there is something going on at my friends place.

Before having dinner with at my friends place, they tried out a little on the Chinese traditional sport, “che ling”


Mr postman in action which according to my friend he represents his school during primary days.

After dinner, Sandy, F1, Owen, Mr Postman and Jacky, Marsby and Ann went to Papa rich to enable all my Taiwan friend have a taste of the local style kopitiam… but they did not order coffee for drink.. weird.. go to kopitiam don’t order coffee?

While they are having coffee in Papa rich, I was rushing home, taking bath, having dinner.. and I kept on getting sms on what time I’m coming? What time I’m reaching.. I have no control and no idea cos.. It’s peak period for myself and the next day is the critical filing day.

Finally around 9 something I reach papa rich, and my task is to settle the bill. But before I managed to meet them, I was scared, cause I got hon for not looking whether there is any car passing by before I open the car door to go to meet my friends.


Pretend to be calm, and holding the purse like I’m going to be the boss :P

After tea, we went to jusco, which is the famous shopping centre at Kepong, they want to change some RM and also do some simple shopping.

And something funny is.. F1 pay the cashier 50sen for a goods which cost around RM24.50 and the cashier did not told her that it’s RM 24.50.

Today I survive my first peak period since the change to my new position.
I managed to go off earlier since my dad came and pick me up.
We went to the temple earlier.. since we scared there will be a lot of people attending the BBQ that nite.

We ended going home early since there is class the second day.

It’s a public holiday but it’s not a rest day for myself.
It’s a day to learn at the temple. To learn more and learn from the guru from Taiwan

Our class at the ground floor started with Chen ah Yi giving a brief introduction about the class

After Owen gave us a briefing on what are the important area when we come for class, postman and F1 started giving us some test, after we have past the test we are being given a sticker each person. And there are 5 test for us to go through.

decided to start to watch it is cos of fish's latest album
decided to continue to watch is cos of the story line

it is not the 老掉牙 kind of story where a very poor gal meet rich guy
and they are enemy at first
then they understand each other then fall in love.

i like this story cos it's pretty close to the heart
reflect something which is close to the heart

i was looking for the sound track of 败犬女王
but search for a few CD shop cant find it
wonder would i be able to find it???

so i ask my friend trevor who is very good at searching stuff online...
and he 9dim the album for me within half an hour.
but my office cant let me open the zip file
so i have to wait until come back home only can open it.

in the afternoon, trevor ask me...
eh.. did he downloaded the wrong thing..
no fish singing..
yeah i told him it's correct that's the soundtrack
it's like you are watching the tv series again and again
when you listen to the sound track

i like the sound track...
it's nice just that it missed out one song called 情歌 which make the whole movie very very touching ;)

p/s: since i already got all the song that i want in my harddisk... i wonder whether should i buy the original CD anymore?

after many many morning cos wanna watch this tv series...
cos my dear to be late for his work
after being patient for so many many weeks
finally 败犬女王 has come to it end.
no ending punya ending
actually is a good ending 败犬女王 would have her own way of living
surviving
enjoying her life

do not hope that this tv series will have part II
do not hope that it would have 败犬女王II
cos it would not be nice to have series two unless it is very nicely written

first know of this tv series cos of fish's album
watched the other tv series where the theme song was sung by fish..
but that one was not as interested for me as compared to this one.
this one is very realistic
very true

even being 败犬 doesn't mean the world is going to collapse!

yesterday we have dinner together with my cousin who is studying in uni at ukm
at the place bangi
very very deep outside town.
and she travel everyday one hour to sentul to work for her intern

and she told me she wanted to take commuter back...
i'm worried...
so we took her back by car.
long drive back and long way back..
therefore i admire her courage to go so far and so long

i guessed when i told her to come out for dinner.
maybe she would be thinking we'll go dutch or..
but as a cousin who already working so one small dinner would not hurt me so much
..
she has been here studying for a long long time but haven got chance to like sit down and eat together.

looking at her..
she work very very hard to work her way to uni
and she work very very hard to grow
hope she can be happy and have courage to choose whatever she like ;)

i do not understand why some people are always party pembangkang??
they object what you wanna do cos they think it's good for u?
or they object fo the sake of objecting?

yesterday i gave a call to my old client which is also my uncle's staff
then i get to know from them my uncle 'ordered' dumpling from my ah ma to distribute to his staff.
and guess how many her 'order'???
30 dumpling...
like my ah ma manufacture dumpling during dumpling festival....

but ah ma really make good dumpling.
everybody including all her sister and my grandpa's sister also like her dumpling.
and everybody is requesting her to make more dumpling

she is around her age of 70s-80s (or even older)
but at my heart she is always very young
just hope that she can do whatever she like and be happy everyday

last but not least happy dumpling festival to everybody ;)

Last Sunday we din went to FRIM instead we stayed at home and play masak-masak

So i cooked fried vege cake

the ingredient are: cabbage in purple and white and carrot
a bit of flour, frying powder and sesame oil



first you start with cutting all the white and purple cabbage as well as the carrot into strips.
then you mix flour with cold water and together with frying powder and sesame oil as well as some pepper and salt


when the oil is heat up hot enough,
just lay one teaspoon of the vege mixed with flour into the hot oil and let it fried until golden in colour.
and you get your fried vege cake

and later we decided to improved our recipe and came out with version 2.0

first you cook the long bean with a bit of oil

then you pour in the egg and wait for it to fried until the egg is cooked

i though it was the final episode this week.
it's very suffering cos you need to wait for the show to air every week
and you would like to constantly follow it since it is so nice

the show has finally come to and end..
but knowing that the show will be ending seems like gonna create something missing for myself.

Malaysia is not using this movie poster since i think it's too daring d...

Not that I wanna challenge with Trevor on writing movie review (cos i know i'm not good at writing one), but just that he said he isn't interested in this movie so.. i try make my hand dirty as in i can write a review on this movie. :P

It was come to my knowledge about this movie from Kat cos her idol Eason who is one of the big cast in this movie.
but if you ask me why i choose to watch this movie, i would say I would wanna see what impact would all the big cast in the movie have with this movie when they are all place in one movie.

It's about a movie on corruption of cops in HK back in the 1960s-70s. How HK from a totally corrupted society to become one of the least corruption place (i put place cos HK is no longer a country) in the world.

I like the the acronym of this movie... when it was first shown... everyone in the cinema laugh.. macam tu pun boleh?? but i really admire people who can have such creative thinking

I always like the movie by antony wong 黄秋生 . He is a very good actor no matter how bad overall the movie is. another point to mention is all the bad words （粗口） which was in the dialog was not censor... congrats to Malaysia censorship board.. you have taken one big step ahead.. cos if you image you watching a movie and the actor was talking like... 'your XXX XXX XXX' and the XXX XXX XXX was keep on being replace by the sound dut dut dut.. how irritating is that? and some yellow line (黄色笑话) which his said to bring out the character of 火麒麟.

overall the movie is a nice one if you wanna see big cast (antony wong, tony leung ka fai, eason chan, bowie lam, fong lek sang)and wanna have some good laugh.

but on the sad side despite all the big cast, the director fail to bring out what is the message that he wanna spread over (at least to me) or if he wants the message is very weak and the impact is not big.

It is something you can watch if you still have faith in HK movie and wanna see a big cast HK movie

p/s: something which bother me much is when i first step into the cinema i saw a not too much of an uncle but a elder guy putting his leg on the seat in front of him with his shoe off like the cinema was open by his father / grand father. come on please la.. give a little bit of respect towards others who watch in the same cinema as you. I would say.. sia sui ar... :P
