有这样的一个搞笑故事。一家卖鸡蛋的商店，老板财雄势大，要把街上面对的另一家鸡蛋商店杀下马来，惟我独尊，垄断而後升价。老板听说对手本钱有限，於是把鸡蛋大减价，低於成本出售，以本伤人，以为不数天对手就要关门了。殊不知蛋价一减再减，减了长时期，对手依然存在。最後大老板因为减价太多太久而破了产。他禁不住跑到对手蛋店查问究竟：「我的蛋店关门了，想不到你们的资本比我还雄厚，是从哪里找那麽多钱跟著我减价呢？」对手听得莫名其妙，回应道：「我们本小利薄，鸡蛋是从你们那里买回来转售的。」

历史上最有名的以本伤人的反托拉斯例子，当然是一九一一年美国标准石油的巨案。老友麦基（J.S.McGee）曾经花了两年时间调查该案的有关资料，於一九五八年发表文章，一举成名。麦基的结论，是标准石油没有以亏本割价的手段来试图毁灭对手。他同时指出，资料显示，如果标准石油要独占有关市场，把对手买下来远为相宜，而当时的法例是不禁止收购的。

远在天边，近在眼前，历史上最具说服力的割价以本伤人的行为，莫如黎老弟智英几年前在香港使出的两招。第一招是《苹果日报》出场，零售二元，肥佬收零元，每天烧纸钱二百万。但肥佬是希望把《东方》毁灭而独领风骚吗？不是的，这个人不傻。他认为看报章有惯性，开头割价倾销是希望打进市场。竞争的其他报章受损吗？当然，但以本伤人是肥佬意图之外的效果。这第一招肥老使得对。

第二招是搞「苹果速销」，也是开头蚀本招徕的意图了。这一著，肥佬计错数，输了十亿惨淡收场！计错数是因为当时的网页销售吵得热闹，使他误信互联网可以大幅度地减低销售成本，所以要先拔头筹。殊不知「本」与愿违，加上懂得用电脑的消费者在香港不普及，於是中了计。

「苹果速销」有以本伤人的效果吗？有的，大财团的超级市场割价回应，赚少了很多钱。後来得到肥佬的数字大略，我才知道超级市场也计错数，中了计。这是因为如果超市不减价，把顾客赶到「苹果速销」那边去，後者会蚀得更多，关门会更早！

结论是明显的。短暂地以低於成本之价出售的行为不罕有，而好些时清理存货，说是低於成本倾销，其实不是。凡是真正低於成本出售的行为，市场上一般有行家受损，说是以本伤人说得通，但是为了毁灭竞争对手而独领风骚吗？想可能是那样想，说也可能有傻佬会那样说，但可以成功吗？没有听过成功的例子，何况相信以本伤人可以毁灭所有竞争者而独垄其断的人是傻瓜，不懂生意之道。

以本伤人可以垄断市场之说，是神话。

last saturday me and joo attended my primary friend as well as future neighbour's wedding dinner
a nice and cool one.. cos i get to meet most of my primary friend

the food was just normal wedding dinner food
but i think it's one with class
both normal and vegetarian dishes are good i think
i din try the normal dishes but according to my bf he say was quite ok :)
