why people do OT while others don't need to do so?
sometimes i wonder why.. when i always OT last time.
agreed with my friend that auditor need to OT in order to meet their deadline
what about tax agent?
does tax agent reli need to OT?
i think i got the answer.
yeah we need to OT as well.
mainly due to the following reasons:-
taking too many call from client during office hours. but we cant tell client we have no time to entertain you since we are in the service industry. and whether the time and time cost that we spend to entertain the client is chargeable or not is another big question mark.
so in order to avoid OT...
we need to plan in advance...
review our plan as and when we implement it
change our plan as we are approaching dead end
always have plan B and C even D and E if need be
last but not least OT with a purpose.. maybe to learn more so to increase your marketability in the future
sometimes i wonder whether the hard work that you OT would pay u good... you will know it when your company promote you and it will show in your increment adn also bonus...

client's call...

staff inefficiency...sometimes we work and work and work and we might consider whether we should take a break. then things start to slow down. sometimes is the fear of doing something which is new to yourself and you are not familiar with it. but if you know the thing is urgent, would you have the motivation in speeding up your work?
delayed in receiving information from client...sometimes client know they need to furnish you with the information soonest possible in order to speed up the progress of getting the thing done. yet they take their own sweet sweet time to complete the information. and sometimes they know the things that you need is urgent, but yet they can still go on leave or go back early. i do not understand why such things would happen. when they give you the information at the eleventh hour they would expect you to finished the job with the short period of time. cos you are the expert and you are being paid for having to rush the very very last minute cos we (here refers to the client) paid for it.
motivation to speed up the work....when there are no praise or compliment from people on the top for the hard work or good work that you have done.. you would feel demotivated and feel not to move forward anymore... and laid back take your own sweet time to complete your work... but job satisfaction will sometimes result you to move forward faster... like close relationship with client, client bonding, group bonding and etc...
so in order to avoid OT...

i think our tax manager did charge client for answering client's call! hahaha
yeah my new group got this practice...
but old group dun have...
